The pickup was on time and our tour had only 6 passengers in total. Our guide was a very nice old lady that explained both temples/cave history and curiosities thoroughly without being boring. She even waited for us to check if we could buy extra Mnajdra Temple Tickets (not included), since we decided to stay in the temple complex after the tour ended. For me the only cons of this tour is exactly this: it goes to Hagar Qim, but inexplicably don't visit Mnajdra which is just besides (fairly enough this is clear from the description - but is a lost opportunity, since the normal ticket to Hagar Qim already includes Mnajdra and it would not take more than 30min to see the other temple in the tour!)
I greatly enjoyed this well-run tour. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting, pick-up was prompt, and the van was comfortable. The Tarxien and Hagar Qim temples are well-curated, with informative signage, and the Hagar Qim tour is preceded by a brief, interesting film dramatizing the building of the temple, its deterioration over time, and its discovery and recovery. I was disappointed in Ghar Dalam, which is a long, narrow, dark cave without much to see, reached after descending (and ultimately ascending) multiple flights of stairs. However, the site includes an archeological museum filled with interesting artifacts and fossils.
This was a great tour and our guide was very good, but only problem we had was the smell from the guide was not nice, it was a shame for him as nobody wanted to stand too close to him. the tour was great and the guide was brilliant at his job, so knowledgeable and very clever, so the tour was not spoilt.. the temples were amazing and the weather was great so a perfect morning tour for us.
Unfortunately the temples that were actually visited were not those that I originally understood were to be visited when I made the booking. Far to long was spent in the mini-bus driving to various hotels and waiting to collect other clients. The tour involved three languages from the same guide English French and Flemish so far too long was spent at each point listening to the verbal, so there was virtually no free time to wander.
This was an excellent tour. The transport was very clean and comfortable. Our guide was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour for those with an interest in prehistory. These temples were an amazing achievement.
