Stop At: Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, Signagi Georgia
The St. George’s Monastery of St. Nino, sometimes also called the Bodbe Monastery, is one of the most important religious sites in Georgia. Today, there is a nunnery where the monastery used to be, and the St. George Cathedral, part of the monastery, holds the remains of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles, who brought Christianity to Georgia. There is also a new cathedral being built, using much of the same construction methods used to make the most famous cathedrals in Georgia centuries ago.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Sighnaghi Ethnographic Park, Signagi Georgia
The Georgian town of Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Kakheti, and is known as the City of Love. Sighnaghi was also one of Georgia’s many stops along the ancient Silk Road. Sighnaghi is just over an hour away from Tbilisi, which makes it a good escape from the busy life of the city. Many day trips and short excursions travel to Sighnaghi.
The town has recently undergone significant restoration and infrastructural improvement, rendering Sighnaghi a must-see destination in Georgia. Casino gambling, high end hotels and dining, fine wines and a stunning view of the Alazani Valley make Sighnaghi one of Georgia’s most attractive small towns.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Tunnel Winery Khareba's, Meurneoba District Kakheti, Kvareli 383320 Georgia
What's special here is the 7.7km of wine tunnels, dug out of a hillside in the early 1960s for storing and ageing wine at constant temperatures. Today the tunnels store over 25,000 bottles of the Khareba company's European and qvevri wines. Tours go into part of the tunnels (where tastings also take place) then up to the viewing tower and restaurant.
It's a 4.5km drive east from Kvareli town centre.

Georgia is famous for its wines so of course we wanted to do a wine tour while in here. Price of the tour is reasonable and our tour guide, George made us feel well taken care of. His teddybear-like outlook combined to the massive amount of information and great sense of humor he has makes him one of the best tour guides I've ever had the honour of meeting. Absolutely fantastic tour 5*
Amazing day spent in Georgia. It was very well coordinated by Baya who showed outstanding skills for Customer care and support. We did many stops on the way and were able to take some breathtaking panoramic views. Our Guide George was outstanding. He was fluent in English. He was very professional, very friendly and had very good knowledge about Georgian History and never failed to answer any question. He was always making sure everyone was very comfortable and enjoying the tour. On the road, he was also telling some very interesting stories about Georgian history, not only history of the places we visited. The tour was pretty much what was written in the Itinerary, even better. Gamarjoba Georgia Tours is the best company I have ever booked a tour from. I would definitely recommend this tour and this company.
such a wonderful trip with the operator.. The place was amazing, kinda relaxing and serenity was there.. it was a long drive though..
It was a great start with a great tour operator, tour guide and views. A very well-organized tour left on time in a comfy car to Mtskheta the first stop nice church with lots of history and stories, even the market around the church is worth walking in and see the variety of products sold there. Then we made our way to Kakheti, on the way we stopped with the great and extraordinary tour guide, DAVID, to eat the best cheese and bread, it was a wonderful experience. Then down to Sighnaghi, City of Love, with wonderful views. This tour is a must, you experience many things in one day. This experience wouldn't be that great without David, a very friendly, helpful, polite and a professional tour guide. This tour operator is great, we went on another tour with them and the experience was amazing! Therefore, always look for that tour operator: Gamarjoba Georgia, when booking your tours. Great value of money, even so cheap compared to the great service you will get.
