I don't even know how to explain the beauty and the excitement I felt on this trip. The views are definitely breathtaking! Our driver, Joe, was awesome. He had a great sense of humor, very knowledgeable and informative about all the areas. He made the experience really rewarding. We got to experience all four seasons while we were there, it was amazing!! I'm still in awe of everything we've seen. The pnw outdoes herself again! P.s thanks for the cupcakes Joe, safe travels and good luck with your bears:)
4 of us women booked this trip to Mt. Rainier. Luckily we had Lucas who kept us informed on viewing Mt. Rainier. We stopped at various places on the way ( Fred Meyer's to buy lunches, bathroom and Starbucks ), several waterfalls, Paradise ( where it was overcast ) but Lucas was on top of the weather at Sunrise - so we went there and sure enough - we could see Mt Rainier. He took us on some ridge hikes that were beautiful. Saw several mountain goats too. We also stopped to see some Marmots. This was really a nice trip, well worth having him do the driving and filling us in on all things Mt. Rainier. He was very personable, and quite entertaining. He was a great driver, provided water and cupcakes at the end of the day. I think he has found his calling because he really made the trip wonderful for us. Happy 3rd birthday to your son and get that cabin built so your wife can have a proper kitchen and cook for you so you will stop eating those double cheeseburgers !!!
Excellent tour with great information provided during the trip. Not too much, not too little. We didn't get to the see the mountain on a clear day, but just being around it and seeing the water falls made it worth it.
Even tho the sun poked out throughout the day Mt Rainier stayed hidden. But wonderful tour guide Lucas tried several locations and was very optimistic to show us the mountain he loved so much. Regardless we had a wonderful day in beautiful Mt Rainier my highlight was seeing a black bear on a hike in Paridise!! Great tour with knowledgeable and passionate guide Lucas !
We had a great day on this tour. Lucas, our driver, was excellent -- very friendly and entertaining, and he spent extra time at the end of the day to make sure we saw everything even though we were running a little late. it was an great day!
My guide, Joe, is very nice. Mount Rainier is beautiful. Tour pick up us at hotel and drop off at hotel too. It's very convenient. Hope to join with joe and mount Rainier again!!!
The trip was great! Joe was funny and engaging from start to finish. Very knowledgeable about history, terrain and animal habitats
Our guide Joe was top notch! He went out of his way to make sure we had a fabulous experience! This was one of the best tours I've had.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The pickup at our hotel was timely and it was nice to travel in a mid-sized van instead of a bus. The van had large viewing windows and comfortable seats. Frequent stops made it unnecessary to have a bathroom on board. Our tour guide, Joe, was very experienced and provided a lot of great information. Our tour began in the clouds, but the higher we got the sky became blue. It was a gorgeous day and Mount Rainier couldn't have been more beautiful!
We had great weather with clear skies. The mountain posed perfectly for dozens of amazing photos. Flowers were still blooming. Out driver was entertaining but better yet he was knowledgeable about the route and the mountain. He was also very good at directing us to the best locations and positions for great photographs.
Enjoyed trip and views. A bit fast going near the steep canyons but maybe not as brave as in younger days. Driver overall was personable and knowledgeable.
This was a well organized trip - plenty of stops along the way, and more than enough time at the National Park itself. Pickups were well organized, and communication prior to the trip was great. Our tour guide - Shannon - was very well informed, a good safe driver, and a pleasure to speak with about experiences. She was local and knew the area very well, and had valuable tips to offer throughout! Highly recommend!
Our guide Don was great, knowleable but also humourous and good fun. Excellent day out, enjoyed it so much I have booked it again this week!
This was a wonderful tour. We saw all four sides of Mt. Ranier. The views were spectacular, especially Sunrise Point and Paradise. Our guide/driver, John, did a great job. Very knowledgeable about the mountain.
Wonderful trip, must go! Shannon, our driver and guide, was amazing. Activity could vary depending on person's ability and/or preference Would definitely recommend it.
Beautiful scenery with an excellent guide. He especially helped my family's understand well. Thank you so much!!!
A really enjoyable day trip, absolutely gorgeous views and as much/little hiking as you want. Great to be driven to each photo point - really stressfree!
Our tour guide, Mark, was awesome. He gave us lots of information about Seattle and Mt. Rainier and made it fun with trivia games. Even though the weather was not on our side and the top of Rainier was covered, we still enjoyed the tour.
Thank you John for your knowledge in making this a memorable day! All the stops were perfect and the weather great!
The weather didn’t cooperate but I still thought the views and short hikes were incredible. We made plenty of stops for photography and restroom breaks. Our driver was very knowledgeable and entertaining. One caveat is that even in July you would be advised to wear shoes for trail walking, long pants and a water-repellent jacket.
I was disappointed in the overall experience. We stopped at a store and told we could get food there for our lunch or but it at the top. There was no guide, just a driver. I expected much more!
Our driver John was the best. Loved hearing all his stories and learning about Mt. Rainier from someone who loves the mountain and surrounding area. His depth of knowledge is remarkable. Would definitely do this tour again!
This trip exceeded my expectations in both value and quality, mostly due to our tour guide Joel. He was not only extremely knowledgeable and friendly, but knew all the hidden gems of the trip, including where to get the best pictures. Joel took the time to chat with us, make sure we were always comfortable on the bus, and you can really tell that he loves what he does. For us, where we only were in the area for a short trip, this tour was the perfect amount of time to see beautiful mountain scenery. The pickups from downtown Seattle were very convenient, even if you are not staying in a hotel. Additionally, this trip is accommodating to people of all fitness levels. I would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Seattle!
My husband and I took a day trip to Mount Rainier with our guide Joe and he was amazing! So very knowledgeable and took us to all the best spots. He even took the time to show us the best places to stand to get the perfect photo. I am highly impressed and would absolutely use this company for other tours.
Spectacular throughout the day with John our outstanding tour guide. Incomparable vistas - it was a cloudless day and Mt. Rainier was continuously visible in all its grandeur and majesty. Would definitely take the tour again.
Joe Pritchard was an excellent guide, kept things funny and light. Great stops, knowledge and photo opts. A+.
I would use one word to describe the trip. AMAZING. We had an excellent guide who was very courteous and knowledgeable. I don’t remember his name, but he made sure we enjoyed every moment of the excursion. He never rushed us into seeing things and made every effort to make our excursion enjoyable. I would surely recommend the trip.
This was a highlight of our trip to Seattle The driver was very knew his information and it was a great day The driver even took us up the Mountain providing snow shoes!
Great trip, pick up and drop off from hotel was on-time. Easy, we didn't have to drive or get a cab, they picked us up. Joe, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful and scenic, unfortunately it snowed, so we could only get so far up. Really fun, even our teen enjoyed it. Time went by fast, thank you!
I have been on tours around the world and Joe was by far the most thoughtful guide I have used. Very knowledgeable!
Our tour guide John was exceptional. A wealth of knowledge and information throughout the day trip. We had perfect weather, sunny and 70. Sunglasses, waterproof boots and sunscreen a must. Snowshoeing and sledding were a blast.
The Day Trip to Mt. Rainier was really great. The weather was pretty cloudy so we weren't able to see the mountain but our tour guide, Joe, definitely made it worth the trip. The waterfalls were awesome!!
Joe, our tour guide made this beautiful trip. Joe was funny, knowledgeable. He truly cares for the health and welfare of the park itself, park rangers, and visitors.
Just found this link. I don't remember ever getting an email to rate. I remember this trip fondly, but I don't remember getting to do much of anything except seeing the mountain itself.
Compliments 1st - Joe The tour guide was great. He was a great historian of facts about Seattle and things to do and also about Mount Rainier. Great sense of humor and thoughtful by having cupcakes at the end. I was very disappointed in the seating situation if you sit on the back two rows of this 2 hour one way trip it’s very uncomfortable for an adult because no leg room and you can’t recline your seat also you sitting directly on top of the wheel. I’m 5’5 the guy next to me was taller and had to sit with knees in aisle. And so for that reason I wouldn’t recommend using this company again.
