1º Dia: viagem de um dia ao Castelo Neuschwanstein para grupos pequenos (9 horas)
Encontre seu guia próximo à Estação Central de Munique e embarque no trem para a breve jornada a Füssen, lar do Castelo Neuschwanstein, Patrimônio da Humanidade pela UNESCO. Depois de uma caminhada pelas colinas, siga para dentro do magnífico castelo e explore seus elaborados interiores com seu guia enquanto aprende sobre a história e o proprietário original, Rei Ludwig II.
Resultado de uma extravagância obsessiva, o castelo era a fantasia do rei, que desejava uma casa que impressionaria seu povo e protegê-lo dos curiosos. Notoriamente tímido, o rei excêntrico morreu logo após a conclusão da construção, deixando para trás um dos maiores castelos do mundo que, ironicamente, desfrutou por pouco tempo.
Admire as salas, como o Salão do Trovador, com seus murais de Richard Wagner, o maestro de óperas idolatrado por Ludwig; observe os ornamentos espetaculares da Sala do Trono Bizantino; e entre no quarto oficial do rei. A parte externa de Neuschwanstein é notável, também, por isso use seu tempo livre depois da excursão a pé para caminhar no lado externo e admirar os detalhes intricados dos parapeitos e torres. Muitos acreditam que Neuschwanstein seja o exemplo perfeito de um castelo de conto de fadas e, de fato, foi a inspiração para o castelo de A Bela Adormecida da Disney no desenho de 1959.

2º Dia: Excursão de um dia ao Palácio Herrenchiemsee (9,5 horas):
Na manhã seguinte à sua excursão ao Castelo Neuschwanstein, encontre seu guia na Estação Central de Munique e viaje de trem para o Lago Chiemsee, lar de outras residências elaboradas do Rei Ludwig, o Palácio Herrenchiemsee.
Cruze o lago em direção à ilha onde está o palácio, depois entre para se maravilhar com a opulência do palácio, que dizem ter sido baseado no Palácio de Versailles. Com seu guia ao lado, explore os caminhos de Herrenchiemsee e admire salas elegantes decoradas com ouro, mármore e vidro. Observe a mesa de jantar elevada que poderia ser abaixada até os cômodos dos servos, assim o rei seria poupado da visão de seus lacaios, e encante-se com os ornamentos do Salão dos Espelhos.
Depois de explorar o palácio com o guia, faça um passeio de barco pelo lago à ilha vizinha de Fraueninsel (por conta do visitante). Com uma área inferior a 15,5 hectares (38 acres), a ilha é pequena o suficiente para um passeio a pé, por isso aproveite o tempo livre para explorar e conhecer sua história por conta. Lembre de parar para tirar fotos no convento histórico, um local que remonta ao século I.
Após o passeio no seu ritmo, encontre seu guia e retorne à estação de trem para voltar a Munique. Sua excursão de um dia termina na Estação Central de Munique.

I'm very grateful for the recommendation and deal of the 2-day tour package to Neuschwanstein Castle and Herrenchiemsee Palace. I never would have thought to go to Herrenchiemsee, but I am so glad I did! I wouldn't have missed it! It made for a very well-rounded experience of the castles, palaces and life of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The tours were super well organized with brilliant, knowledgeable and fun tour guides. Both days also included and allowed time for extra experiences, such as the village and lake of Hohenschwangau, where Neuschwanstein Castle is located, and also a second island in Lake Herrenchiemsee, Frauenchiemsee, where we viewed a Benedictine Convent an a charming fishing village. Plus historic houses and 1000-year-old Linden trees. The views and breath-taking photo opportunities at Neuschwanstein were amazing, and the guided tours at both Neuschwanstein Castle and Herrenchiemsee Palace were outstanding. It was a fantastic 2-day experience which I will never forget!

The castle is amazing and you can see why Walt Disney chose it for his fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. This was my favorite tour on our recent trip to Europe. Neuschwanstein is definitely something to put on your bucket list. A picture from the trestle bridge of Neuschwanstein Castle and the view from the bridge is just amazing. I cant say enough about this tour it was that good.

For the Neuschwanstein tour it was very cold and rainy, so unfortunately the bus that takes you up the hill to the castle was not running and we had to walk the entire way. Although it was unfortunate to have to walk uphill in the rain the castle was definitely worth it. This company was fantastic!!

Very well organised using train for most of the journey. With Neuschwanstein you also take a bus to get you to the little township below the castle site. With Herrenchiemsee you also get to go on a steam train and ferry as part of the experience of getting to the palace. Both are worth seeing and unique in their own way because of their setting and styles. If you get a chance do Linderhof as well. That is the smallest of the palaces, but it is complete, almost 'homely' compared to the others and it is where King Ludwig spent most of his time. The views from Neuschwanstein are amazing! Herrenchiemsee has a lovely village and abbey nearby to visit. Our guides were wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Very pleasant experience. Great way to see some of countryside as well.

Great trip! The castle and surrounding area were beautiful! Our guide, Austin, was very friendly and entertaining. He gave some great background on the castle and King Ludwig II, and made sure we got exactly where we needed to go. He was organized and made sure we always had seats even when the trains got crowded. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves history, and even to the ones that simply like beautiful scenery.

This review is only for the Neuschwanstein Castle as I didn't enjoy it much and switched my next trip to Dachau, which happily they were willing to do for me. If you're into castles, it is breathtakingly beautiful. However, it is a horribly long day-longer than it needed to be. It could be done in 6 hours easily but the entire day of this tour is about 10. The tour guides were great, no problem there. However, for a 10hr day, I'd recommend packing some sort of food with you. The only options there are really, really repulsive/disgusting with very limited options. And, if you're a healthy eater, you may as well fast for the day because it will gross you out even more. And beware of all the tourists there. If you hate crowds, simply don't go. They were horrendous the month I went (August). Skip it if you aren't truly into castles.
