you visit Luxor Temple, which is dedicated to the Theben Triad of Amun-Ra, Mut and Khonsu. There you will see statues of Ramses the Great. These ancient temples are a must-see for Luxor travelers. At every site you will get information from your Egyptologist tour guide and you will get free time to explore the ancient monuments by yourself. Inside view the Avenue of Sphinxes, Hypostyle Hall, Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis I, the Temple of Amon, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III and the Sacred Lake. Karnak is inspiring.

Khalid was our guide. He was superb - enthusiastic and knowledgeable (masters degree in Egyptology and experience on archaeological digs). Our cruise offered a similar tour for $600 each for a two day excursion to Luxor. This company offered an inexpensive local tour with an overnight stay at the Hilton (excellent hotel) and incremental charge for pickup and drop-off at the port. All-in-all that was less than half the cost through the cruise line. And rather than stuck on a bus with many others, we were in a van for 6, Turned out that we had Khalid as a guide and a driver for just the two of us. It was the best tour of the entire 21 day cruise. What more can I say? Highly recommended.

This is a new company and I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Ragab is the owner and our guide. He actually worked with an archaeologist on a dig in Luxor and he definitely knows what he's talking about. The Karnak Temples were amazing, as was everything else we saw!!!
